Looking to introduce the sport of baseball to the little ones? T-Ball is designed to introduce the game and skills of baseball to young players. Participants will learn skills such as batting, fielding, throwing and running. Unique and fun games will be incorporated into this fun class to help your child improve the skills they learn. Classes are designed to develop motor skills, promote physical fitness and create self-confidence. Come ready to learn and have fun! Parent participation is required.
Each week we will explore a new sport to learn about and play! We will cover the basic skills needed and incorporate fun activities into our mornings. This is a great way to find out which activites your child is interested in.
Shuffle ball change, hop, hop! Do a little doe-see-do! Come join the Ashwaubenon Parks and Recreation Department as they bring out the talent in your child. Particpants will learn one routine. The last day of class the participants will perform in a recital for their family and friends. Comfortable clothing should be worn.
Looking to introduce the sport of soccer to the little ones? Then sign up for this fun camp. Kicking, dribbling, passing and more will be taught. Incorporated into this camp are unique and fun games that will improve your soccer skills, speed, strength, coordination and agility. Rookie soccer is a program that will engage children in physical activity in a non competitive environment. Classes are designed to develop motor skills, promote physical fitness and create self-confidence. Come ready to learn and have fun!
Art is an invaluable tool for children developing creativity, fine motor skills, and focus. Your "Petite Picasso" will learn how to handle and manipulate paintbrushes, crayons and markers in art class. Each week children will have a new theme and work on a creative new project.
This fun sewing class will be a parent or grandparent/child class. You and your child will work together to learn how to sew and create fun projects. We will go through the basics you and your child need to understand to make quilting fun. Student may bring their own projects to work own or use one of ours. Patterns for projects will be provided. Students will need to bring their own sewing machine, basic sewingkit rotary cutter, mat and ruler. Children must be signed up with an adult for this class.
Kids love to help out in the kitchen, now they can be the chef! As your young chef cooks up fun food creations, they will also be learning valuable math skills such as measuring, counting, patterning, identifying shapes and making fractions. Each week has a new theme and activities to accompany their creations.
